CC just loves to hide. She hides behind the couch, under the bathroom sink (no cabinet there, just the sink) under chairs, etc. Usually she is pretty easily seen, but she thinks it is the funniest thing. These are some pictures I took today of CC hiding from mom.

CC's Speedway
I came home from working at church last weekend and all the dining room chairs were moved into the living room. Surprised, I asked dad why he moved all the chairs? He proudly responded, "THIS, is CC's speedway." I had to laugh. CC doesn't get to do stuff like this when mom's home. I'm positively sure they had a blast together. Is CC going to be the first female Nascar driver?

Just Saying Hi...or...Bye
CC's new thing is hiding. She just loves hiding behind things and hearing her name called, knowing that people are looking for her. She also loves getting her jacket and then walking down the hall saying Bye Bye to me and dad. I guess she is trying to tell us that she wants to go somewhere. When she does this dad jokingly tells her to, "be home by 10:00". CC thinks that she is pretty funny!! Dad and I wouldn't admit it to CC, but we think she's pretty funny too.

CC Dancing - Part I and Part II (Boogie Woogie)
These are a few videos that I felt were perfect for displaying CC's creative dancing ability. I think she is way ahead of her time, don't you? (Sorry to those of you that aren't able to view these videos, they are priceless).
Uncle Tyler's 20th Birthday
These are pictures from Tyler's 20th Birthday Party. Of course CC couldn't wait to see her uncle, but she was particularly intrigued by the ferret "Tink". Her expressions were pretty amusing, she wasn't quite sure what to make of Tink.
Then CC had a great time with her new friend Beth and also enjoyed helping Uncle Tyler open his birthday presents. They had a ton of snow there and the sun was shining brightly. It was a beautiful day.

The Snow Hat
These are some picture we took before leaving for church on a Sunday morning. Isn't CC cute in her little purple snow hat. She kept trying to take it off, but thankfully it had velcro : )

New Years Eve Celebration
Usually it is with excitement that I see another year pass. However this year I found myself wondering where all the time went and reminiscing over some wonderful memories. I have to say that 2008 marked one of the best years ever. To have CC and her dad in my life have been such a blessing and I am so thankful to our Lord every single day.
This past year I have watched my daughter grow from a little tiny infant (completely dependent on mom and dad), to a very independent little girl. People say, "Oh, they grow so fast"...blah blah blah. I had NO IDEA how true that was!! I am loving every single second of being a mom and a wife and I am truly thankful for all of God's gifts.
To that end, we celebrated the New Year with our friends and family (we missed you and your family Stacia). We had beef, chicken and shrimp fondue (thank you mom for our new electric fondue pot). Lisa also made a yummy cheese fondue AND chocolate fondue and I have gained 6 pounds. It was ALL worth it :)
We played some dominoes and then started our regular game of Tripoly. Sean came away with most of the nickles again. I'm so proud of my handsome gambler. We all had a good time and didn't get to bed until about 3:00 am. That is very very late for the Costa family. Thankfully CC is such a good sleeper!!
Wishing you all a new year full of blessings in 2009!!
