These are pictures back in our room. We had to move one of the dining room chairs up against the fridge so that CC would stay out of it. Eventually she figured out how to move the chair and I found this once I got out of the shower --all the sodas were moved to the bedroom. After that I took one of the big and heavy chairs and put it against the fridge and that one she couldn't move!! The maid must have thought we were all crazy.

The Capitol Building
These are pictures of downtown Nashville, mainly the Capitol Building. They really have a beautiful downtown with fountains and marble walks. As we were walking downtown we all saw what we thought was a squirrel run across the path below the steps. Upon closer look it turned out to be a huge rat - I had never seen such a thing, oh my!

"WORDS I WOULD SAY"
____________________________________________
Three in the morning, and I'm still awake,
So I picked up a pen and a page,
And I started writing, just what I'd say,
If we were face to face,
I'd tell you just what you mean to me,
I'd tell you these simple truths,
Be strong in the Lord and, never give up hope,
You're going to do great things, I already know,
God's got His hand on you so,don't live life in fear,
Forgive and forget, but don't forget why you're here,
Take your time and pray,
These are the words I would say,
You're going to do great things, I already know,
God's got His hand on you so,don't live life in fear,
Forgive and forget, but don't forget why you're here,
Take your time and pray,
These are the words I would say,
Last time we spoke, you said you were hurting,
And I felt your pain in my heart,
I want to tell you, that I keep on praying,
Love will find you where you are,
I know cause I've already been there,
So please hear these simple truths,
From one simple life to another, I will say,
Come find peace in the Father,

Fort Negley
These are pictures of Fort Negley which is an old civil war type place. Any one of the guys could probably give you a much more accurate description of what took place here, but I enjoyed the walk. CC got to walk and run around so she had a good time too. It was actually closed the day we went so there was practically no one there, which was nice too.

O'Charleys
After The Hermitage we were all ready for lunch. We went to O'Charleys and it was delicious. Christopher ordered these homeade potato chip nacho things - they were awesome. No wonder I gained three pounds on this trip. CC got her own Mac & Cheese so of course she was happy. And, I have decided that Sweet Tea is the BEST!!! If we get back to Nashville this place (just for the potato chips/nachos) is first on my list.

The Hermitage
For our first day out sightseeing we went to The Hermitage. This is Andrew Jackson's (our 7th president) home. We went on a tour of his home and walked through the gardens. It was actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be. It was a beautiful day and fun to see a real southern plantation.
This is where Andrew Jackson is buried.

Carabbas!!!
The first thing we did once we arrived was met up with my husband's brother Brian and his friend Christopher. It was so nice to finally meet them and for CC to meet her uncle. We went to Carabbas (since the one where we live closed last year) and Dad ordered his long awaited favorite meal - though not a meal good for his cholesterol. We had a delicious dinner!

CC's First Plane Ride
Here are pictures from CC's very first airplane ride, isn't she cute in her red dress. I have to admit that travelling with this little girl was much harder than I anticipated. Just getting through security was a challenge, she did not like that at all. On the way to Nashville we flew to Salt Lake City for an hour then went onto Denver - it was an all day event, but we made it.
