The Anniversary Extravaganza

For our Five Year Anniversary Dad and I thought it would be nice to get away over night (alone).  Which meant leaving CC for the first time without one of us.  Yes,  a little scary for mom, but we did it.  We decided to stay at a B&B downtown and went to dinner at Chandlers Steakhouse.  It was a wonderful wonderful anniversary with my husband – the best ever!!

When I told CC that we were going away over night and that her babysitter “L” would be spending the night she was pretty excited.  I told her that L would be sleeping in the guest room so CC was quick to set up in there as well.  All on her own she moved her princess sleeping bag, pillow and animals beside the guest bed.

For dinner I picked them up some individual pizzas so that they would have fun making those.

Onto the B&B.  Here are some pictures of our room.  We had a kitchen, a fireplace and a Jacuzzi tub.

Before dinner we went down to the main quarters for a glass of wine and some photo ops.

Then off to dinner at Chandlers.  This was a fabulous dinner!  They have something called a 10-Minute Martini so we decided to share that.  It’s a good thing we didn’t get our own.

Then we had the roasted artichoke for an appetizer.

I had the Sea Bass and Dad had the Filet.

Then we had the Chocolate Soufflé for desert.

For breakfast the next morning we were served a delicious yogurt parfait with fresh berries and a sort of an eggs benedict with spinach and tomatoes.  Delicious!!  Best Anniversary every!! Can’t wait until next year.

Game Night with Friends

We went over to a friends house to play some cards and had such fun.  It was Lisa’s daughter’s birthday so we had some pretty decadent chocolate cake on top of all the food we ate.  We ended up playing Tripoly and I think Dad and I came out the most ahead.  CC fell asleep around 11 and Dad and I didn’t even head home until 2 am.  That was a record setting late night for us, that’s for sure.

The Bed and “Why Not”

On this morning we got up to get ready for school and CC came in and told me that she made her own bed.  I thought to myself, “okay she probably just threw the comforter back on the bed”.  But to my surprise she made the entire bed, throw pillows and all.  My girl is growing up so fast.  I let her pick out a surprise that morning when we went to Kohls and she chose a little make up kit.  It was on clearance so I figured why not.   Why not??  See picture below to answer that question

Carinos Wine Dinner #2

For this dinner it was just Dad and I and we had a great time. Yummy salad, Dijon pasta, salmon and desert.
