Our Flight to Texas

These are some pictures on our way to San Antonio.  Thankfully CC was excellent on the flights (both of them).  We had a two hour lay over in Denver so we rode on the trams to the different terminals.  I think it reminded CC of the monorail ride at Disneyland.

Park-Tacular

On Labor Day we went to Park-Tacular that the radio station (KTSY) was sponsoring. They had jumpie houses, food, music, and what a great play area at Settler’s Park. CC even got to play in the fountains. We had a taco salad and a HUGE corn dog. Once the bands started to play CC went up to the front of the stage area and started dancing with two other little girls…so cute. It was another great day!!

Swim Party

We had some friends over for a swim party and a bbq. The weather wasn’t great and we almost cancelled. Once we hit the pool there was no one there and the water was surprisingly warm. Maybe it felt warm because it was so cold outside, but it really felt almost like bath water. CC had a great time with dad “flying” in the air. She’s turned out to be quite the little swimmer this year.

Then we hit the playground for a little bit before heading back to the house. We had tons of fun, but right before we left CC and I headed down the slide together, I let go of her hand and she went (literally) flying off the slide and landed flat on her back. All because I let go of her hand…I felt horrible. It really knocked the wind out of her. Then I went to lift up her shirt and the bark had put little cuts all over her back…my poor baby!! I try to be so careful with her, at least it was bark and not concrete.

Back to the house for the bbq. It’s so much fun watching these kids grow up together.

The $4.00 Shelf

About a month ago we were out looking at garage sales and purchased this shelf for $2.00. When Dad was on his backpacking trip, CC and I took a trip to Michaels for some paint and a brush. The supplies came to $2.00, so CC got a new shelf for her room for only $4.00. It took me longer to paint than I thought though, but it was fun. I wish I had taken a “before” picture.

The WONDERFUL Dress

I bought CC this Disney Princess night gown at the used store last week.  When she put it on (after a good washing of course) she twirled and twirled and said it was a “wonderful dress”.  I made her stop twirling so I could take some pictures and this was the look I got…

Men’s Backpacking Trip

Dad went on the Men’s Backpacking Trip with church and had a great time.  CC and I sure missed him while he was gone though.  He got some nice pictures.  My favorite is the last one :)

The Water Park

After our first trip to the dentist we headed to the water park.  CC is our little dare devil, she went on all the big rides that she was tall enough for and even the BIG yellow slide (not the one shown in the picture below).  At first she was afraid, but after one time down the slide it turned out to be her favorite.  The weather was great and we can’t wait to go back next summer.

Our 1st Trip to the Dentist

When I was young I don’t remember having stuff like this.  At CC’s dentist they have a little jungle gym equipped with a slide in the waiting room, a real Nemo fish, and arcade games (I think those are for the kids, but i didn’t tell my husband that).  She had a great time and let them clean her teeth and even floss.  The dentist said her teeth were “perfect”.  Thanks to mom and dad for doing such a great job brushing them :)  When we were leaving she said, I wanna come back tomorrow.”
