The Artist

Grammy had purchased some finger paints for CC. I thought "oh no this is going to make a mess", but it didn't. The paints don't go anywhere but the paper you put them on. The technology we have these days for our kids...well, you know what I mean. She had a great time and Grammy proudly hung CC's first piece of artwork on the fridge. The Little Girl and The BIG Chair

Here is CC in a chair at Grammy's house. I think it made her feel all grown up like it was her very own chair. She had so much fun with the little pink bunny.

Our Walk In the Woods and THE TICK

The next day we went for a walk to the creek. I never actually saw any water, but I'm told there WAS a creek down there. We walked and CC had fun walking away from mom and dad on her own (of course, Little Miss Independent). She took a tumble a couple of times, but laughed and got up pretty quickly.

Then it happened...I went to help CC get up from one of her tumbles and yelled to Dad - "there's a big spider on CC". He came to help and said, "oh, it's a tick". Thankfully it hadn't bit her yet! After that the "City Girl" took her "City Daughter" in the house while "Country Dad" made fun of us!! That was enough of the outdoors for us Y

We Have Arrived

When we finally arrived we were greeted by the three dogs, Clifford, Nicki, and Augie. CC just loves animals and was happy to see them. Though Clifford is so big I think we could have saddled him up and CC could have rode him around the property. She had to be wondering, "where are we". This whole trip was definitely an adventure for her. Her very first night away from home!


Grandpa Bob arrived and she got to meet him for the first time - so many FIRSTS. At first she was afraid and a little shy like she is with everyone right now. She warmed up a little bit later. That night we had our second Easter dinner and enjoyed taking lots of pictures.

CC's First Road Trip and the Pickle

Well we headed out on our first road trip with CC the day after Easter. The trip took us about eleven hours in total and wasn't as bad as expected. CC was pretty good and had Grammy in the back seat to keep her occupied. We stopped for lunch and to my surprise CC now has an adoration for pickles...who would have thought that she would like those sour things.


Thank you Jesus for helping us to get there safe and sound!

Easter Day

We started off this Easter Day with friends and family for an Easter brunch. We hid a bunch of eggs around the house for CC to find and she had a great time, what a change from last year. Last year this time she wasn't even crawling and now she's running around crazy all the time.


After brunch we headed off to church for Easter service. He is Risen!!
