Christmas Day

Well, Santa definitely came to our house!!  We all had such a wonderful Christmas and so very blessed to have everything that we have.  It was a very enjoyable day and CC, as usual, got showered with wonderful gifts. We worked hard all day long to remind her what Christmas is about and it’s not gifts or stockings full of candy.  Happy Birthday Jesus and Merry Christmas to all.

Christmas Eve

We started off our Christmas Eve by heading off to church and then back home for our traditional waffles and bacon.  Grandpa D and Grandma M joined us and we let CC open one gift from each of us.  We even set out cookies and milk for Santa.  CC can’t wait for Christmas morning!

The Nutcracker

Here’s some pictures from CC’s first ballet performance.  Some of these are from dress rehearsal, because we didn’t have very good seats for the performance.  Next year we’ll get there much earlier.

All three of her teachers from pre-school came and brought the girls flowers which I thought was very sweet!!

The Christmas Program

CC’s Pre-School put on a Christmas Program at school where they sang a bunch of songs and made props to go along with the songs.  It was so cute!!  It always amazes me to watch her because I was so shy as a child.  Not my girl, she got right out there and sang so loud that I could definitely tell that was my CC.  I think you can even tell by her expression in the pictures.

A Mouse In The House?

CC’s ballet class did a production of Nutcracker for Christmas.  CC was very pleased and excited to be a mouse.  They handed out the costumes and CC just had to try it on as soon as we got home Smile  Doesn’t she make an adorable mouse?

My Thyroid Surgery

I document everything else, so I figured I had to document this as well.  Here are pictures from my thyroid surgery as it progressed through the first month.  I was horribly sick after the anesthesia, but after the first day it was much better.  Very very tired, but starting to feel like I have more energy now…finally.

The Tree Decorating

Along with celebrating Dad’s birthday early we also got our tree a little earlier than normal this year.  The bandage on my head is from a basal cell carcinoma I had removed.  A year for surgeries as it turns out.  We had a wonderful time decorating.  CC gets more helpful every year.  I look forward to opening our box of “special” ornaments every year!!
