Finally I got my Kitchen Aid as a late present for my birthday. Dad found this on sale at Target and the next morning we got up and made Oatmeal cookies...yummy!

Birthday Party Time for T

These are pictures from T's 2nd Birthday party. It was a rainy day, but that didn't stop the little kids (or the big kids) from playing out in the big bouncer. At first CC was scared to go inside, but then once she got going she didn't want to get out. Isn't the birthday boy cute in his little green jacket (below).

Learning to Blow Bubbles

CC is having a blast learining how to blow bubbles with her grandmas. As can see she almost has the hang of it. Then inside Grammy bought her a big popsicle. CC did a pretty good job with it since it was almost larger than she is. She had fun trying to gobble it down, while making a small mess for mommy and daddy to clean up.

CC's First Hair Cut

These are pictures from CC getting her very first hair cut. We probably should have taken her before now, but her hair is taking forever to grow. Anyway, she had a little trim and got to sit in a pretty pink jeep. We took her to a place that caters to kids and she even got a lollypop for being so good (truth be told the lollypop was to keep her quiet) at 10:00 in the morning. Y
There was even something to keep dad entertained...Galaga : )

Where's CC?

CC just loves to play hide and seek. Most of all she likes to hide in mommy and daddy's armoir in the bedroom. Mind you, the bigger she gets, the harder this is to do. And she has to take all of her toys, blankets, and drink in there too. She gets mad when I don't shut the door for her. Then she laughs and laughs. My silly girl.

Grandma Bonnie and the Cupcakes

The grandparents came over to watch CC while dad and I enjoyed an evening out. Grandma and CC made cupcakes and I think they both had a really good time. CC got to put on the frosting and the sprinkles with just a little help, there is a video below. (Don't forget to turn off the sound.)

The Plane Ride Home

Finally, our computer is fixed so that I can resume blogging.

These are pictures from our delightful plane ride home. We went to get on the plane and CC had a complete fit -- like none other I had ever seen. It took both dad and I to get her in her car seat. People were glaring at us, but I have to admit that the stewardess was very nice and helpful.

Based on her experience from our flight over, I think that CC new that she was in for being confined to a small chair all day long. Boy, she fought us every step of the way. She screamed and kicked, it was horrible. Then to top off this excitement, as we are taxiing to the runway, she threw up all over herself, her blanket, Rufus and me. It stunk!! I had to pick off curdles of milk and the smell, the horrible smell. After that she was fine...I think she had finally wore herself out. The people on the plane thought she was sick, but both dad and I knew that she threw up because she had made herself so mad - where did she get this temper of hers? That answer to that questions needs no response!

We flew to Chicago and she was a little terror again, but by the time we landed in Salt Lake she was exhausted, quiet and content. All the people on the flight from Salt Lake City to home said "what a good little girl you have there", clearly these were not the same people on our flight from Nashville or Chicago :)

The Aquarium at Opry Mills

On our last night there we went to dinner with Brian at the Aquarium in the Opry Mills Mall. They had several large aquariums full of fish and sharks. While we were there one of the workers/scuba divers was actually in there with all the fish and cleaning the tanks and feeding the fish (he waved to CC). Wouldn't that be a fun job...I think.

Bye Uncle Brian, see you in January!
