The COSTAdas

Last night I had to work at church and Dad stayed home with monkey since she had a little cold.  When I'm away he spends time coming up with new recipes - how lucky am I??

Introducing ....... The COSTAdas. So yummy!

Hangin' Out

Our very good friend Lisa was injured in a freaky car accident a couple of weeks ago.  We went over last Friday night to spend some time with her and cheer her up.  She looks great (picture below - don't be mad - even though she's still in a lot of pain).  We had pizza, Dean made a great salad and CC got to watch Mickey.

Hope you're feeling better soon Lisa!!!  We love you!!!

CC's New Race Track

Last Sunday CC and Dad had a great time playing with her race track.  They set the track up in different ways, had races with the cars and made the cars crash.  It's so great to watch the two of them play together, they are two peas in a pod.

New Years Eve

These are pictues of the gang on New Years Eve.  We had a great time and played Tripoly.  We had beef and chicken fajitas, yummy hamburger dip (my favorite), meatballs and weinies in a blanket (my other favorite), chocolate fondue and tons of other munchies.  We were very full, time for me to start dieting : )  See at the bottom, even CC was exhausted from all of the fun and food.

Dad and Uncle Tyler went to the Humanitarian Bowl last week.  We got a bunch of snow that morning so the bundled up to keep warm.  What a great game (I even watched it on TV)!!  I can't wait for the Fiesta Bowl tonight.

The Joys of Potty Training

We started potty training right after Christmas.  This is the house in preparation for accidents, see all the blankets on the floor.  CC did absolutely amazing, I really think she is getting the whole potty thing down.  We went straight to big girl underpants and have only had a few accidents so far.  I have to keep reminding her to go potty though, otherwise she forgets.  We are definately making progress, I'm such a proud mama.

Song of the Month for January 2010

SONG OF THE MONTH
January 2010
"TEMPORARY HOME"
____________________________________________

Little boy, 6 years old
A little too used to bein' alone
Another new mom and dad, another school
Another house that'll never be home
When people ask him how he likes this place
He looks up and says with a smile upon his face

"This is my temporary home
It's not where I belong
Windows and rooms that I'm passin' through
This is just a stop, on the way to where I'm going
I'm not afraid because I know this is my
Temporary Home."

Young mom on her own
She needs a little help got nowhere to go
She's lookin' for a job, lookin' for a way out
Because a half-way house will never be a home
At night she whispers to her baby girl
Someday we'll find a place here in this world

Old man, hospital bed
The room is filled with people he loves
And he whispers don't cry for me
I'll see you all someday
He looks up and says "I can see God's face"

This is our temporary home
