Dad was asked by a friend from work to come help him practice showing cattle with some of his 4H students. I was so proud to see my husband out there working with the kids. He did an amazing job out there and he really knows his stuff. It was my first opportunity to really see him in action. CC had fun walking around seeing all the animals. Afterwards we even hit some garage sales : )
These are pictures from my mom’s birthday. Dad made the most delicious tri tip every and I made my first double layer cake. The grandparents came over to help us celebrate. Happy Birthday to My Mom!
Here are some pictures of us (me, Dad, and my mom) prepping for CC’s new room. We hung some pictures and got a little more organized. She loves to play princess and wear her crown. What a girly girl we have. We also hung some new curtains that we got from Big Lots and CC ended up falling asleep behind them for her nap time.
Can’t wait to post her new book shelf that we got from a garage sale this weekend for $5.00.
We have had some pretty crummy weather this summer, but finally we had a super nice day. Dad got our bikes ready and we hit the playground for a yummy picnic. After that we went to the pool for some splashing around.
At one point I was trying to have Dad get a picture of CC and I going down the slides together, but she quickly went down without me. So dad and I were playing around while CC ran off for just a second. CC had quickly climbed up the other slide and went down head first. She was okay, thank you Jesus, but she did get a face full of bark. Other than that, it was a great day.
Happy Freedom Day everybody. Here are some pictures of our BBQ on the 4th of July with the grandparents. After dinner we played Yahtzee, the girls won…yeah!! Then we attempted to do a few fireworks, but they scared CC silly. That night when we went to put her to bed CC kept asking for us to turn off the “fires” (fireworks). She ended up sleeping in our bed last night, which is pretty unusual. Maybe next year she will be ready for the “fires”.
AND more bubbles. CC received a new PRINCESS bubble wand from the grandparents. She just loves her new toy.
On 4th of July weekend we had our good friends over for a BBQ. We played Tripoley and Cheryl was the lucky winner on this night.
