CC's Play Date II
We went over to our friend's house today for our second official play date. I actually got to work on a craft project (which I forgot to take a picture of) while CC and T played in the backyard. They had a wonderful time eating their Popsicles and being pulled in the wagon.

Our First Camping Trip
These are pictures of our first "camping trip". We decided to give it a test run with CC and see how she would do camping before we went out for a real excursion. It was over 100 degrees that day so it was still pretty warm by 7:00 pm.
We roasted weinies, cooked popcorn over the fire and toasted marshmallows...we had a wonderful time. Then it was time to settle down in the tent and we decided to bring out our little DVD player to watch a movie. CC was all over the place, jumping down on the matress, hopping in and out of bed, she was sooooo excited about the whole thing.

At 11:00 and two "time outs" later we decided to head into the house and go to bed. CC was out like a light within two minutes. We really couldn't blame her for being so excited, but she'll need to settle down a little earlier on our real outdoor excursion.

Thank You Grandma Bonnie
Last weekend the grandparents came by for a visit and to watch NASCAR :) We had lunch and then grandma brought in some ice creams from the trailer. CC got her very own ice cream, though I didn't think she would eat it all. However, she proved me wrong and ate the whole thing (almost by herself). She definitely has a love for ice cream - like mother like daughter.
The next day on Mommy Monday I went and got one of my Weight Watchers fudge bars and I was going to sit on the couch and share it with her. CC had a little fit over that - she wanted her own. Thank you Grandma Bonnie Y

Uncle Tyler's Visit
Uncle Tyler came by to visit his favorite niece and we made our weekly shopping trip to Walmart. Uncle Tyler had the great idea that CC would walk around the store with him and go with him up and down the aisles. I told Tyler that we really needed to leave her in the shopping cart as long as possible. Plus once you take her out of the cart it is very difficult to get her to go back in. Tyler was okay with that, but I don't think he got it.
At the end of our shopping she was getting fussy and we let Tyler take her out of the cart (I think Tyler was the one that got her out) and she turned into a monkey. She didn't want to go with Uncle Tyler - she very much wanted to run around the store and do her own thing. Dad ended up walking with her while I went through the check out stand.
Does anyone else have children that turn into monkeys?
Then we got home and she had a great time playing, she is so adorable it is hard to stay mad at her (for very long anyway).

The pictures below (CC's attentive look) came when I put on an episode of Land of the Lost. Dad and I used to love that show when we were kids. We saw few episodes on tv the other night and we DVRd them. Now every time we play an episode CC gets all excited and watches very intently. Like father (and mom too), like daughter.

CC and Dad Playing "Horsey"
CC's new favorite thing to play is "horsey". This is where dad lays down on the floor and CC crawls on his back. Dad slowly gets up and takes her around the house. She loves this? She doesn't always hang on for that long but giggles all the way.
