Happy Freedom Day!!

Happy Fourth of July!

My wonderful husband had these two bears sent to me ... just because. I think mostly because I wasn't feeling too great with the Bell's Palsey and he was trying to cheer me up. It's a Mama Bear and a Baby Bear all dressed for the 4th of July. The Valentine's Day before last he sent me the Lover Boy Bear so now the bear family is all complete.

We had the grandparents over for the 4th and we barbqued some hamburgers. They brought over a splash mat for CC and she had a blast. Earlier that day the three of us went for a bike ride and to the pool so I didn't think she would want to play in the water again. To my surprise she played with the sprinkle mat for well over an hour (maybe two hours) and then cried when we put it away for dinner.

We played Yahtzee and I made yummy strawberry cupcakes for dessert. The men won at Yahtzee, but only by seven points, we'll get them next time. We also had some fireworks, but they scared CC. I think by next year she'll be ready to enjoy them. What a wonderful day to celebrate our country's freedom!
