We went to the fair with some friends on Saturday morning and had a great time, better than I even expected. First we went to check out the petting zoo. Much to my surprise, CC was scared of the goats, the cows and most all of the other animals, she did like the chickens though. I have never seen her so frightened, it really surprised me. All the other kids seemed to really like the animals. We even tried to put her on the pony ride, but she would have none of that either. I have decided that we really do have a fickle child : )
Then we went to gorge ourselves with "fair food". I had a gyro and Sean had a corn dog and a chicken sandwich. Then we all shared an elephants ear and I got to have my very first funnel cake. They were both delicious and I'm sure very low in fat...not!
Then we went to try out some of the carnival games. They are way more expensive than I remembered - like $5.00 for each try - wow, that could add up pretty quickly! When we got to the fair Sunshine said that she wanted to win a big animal for her daughter and that she did. Just look at the size of that thing, oh my!!
Anyway, we all had a great time and I'm looking forward to going again next year.

OMG, I can't believe you have never had a funnel cake. It's my favorite. Anytime we go to an event like that I always get one. In fact I just bought the powder mix to make them myself here at home. Yummy!!
