CC turned three this year and she wanted to have a special princess party with all of her friends, party hats, a birthday cake, and birthday candles (her exact words). I tried as best I could to make her a special birthday cake, but five cake mixes, five cakes, three batches of butter cream frosting, an entire tube of blue food coloring, a very messy kitchen, and seven hours later it all fell apart. It was very discouraging. Thank goodness for the grandparents (D & M) and for Dairy Queen. Let’s just say I wont be making a cake for a very long time. (Thanks to Stacia for all her help and support too).
As a special surprise we invited Belle (from Beauty and The Beast) to join us for CC’s birthday. Belle played games with all of the kids and brought a helper with her that did face painting. CC was again lavished with lots of attention and many wonderful gifts. Happy Birthday to my Big Girl!

Very cute party. I bet all the kids were ooh'ing and awh'ing over Belle being there. The cake was really pretty too!!
